Curiosity Centers

with an attitude of wonder, we Explore

Curiosity is our response to what God has created.  With an attitude of wonder, we explore God’s truth through His Word and through His creation.

We cultivate curiosity by asking questions, by seeking opportunities to learn, by trying new things, and by persevering in our quest for answers.

At HBAAFF there are a number of "Curiosity Centers" or interactive art & science exhibits.  Our hope is that these exhibits spark your curiosity and lead you to a commitment to use your talents and resources to work toward the good of humanity.

Empty Bowls

(Art Deck)

Visitors can purchase student created ceramic bowls in order to donate to help feed the hungry.  (This & Students Rebuild are sponsored by the Art Club.)

Students Rebuild

(Art Deck)

Visitors and student artists can use their talents to work toward the good of humanity by creating postcards.  Each art postcard created will give $5 to a charity supporting projects that take care of the planet we have been called to steward.

Animation

In this interactive exhibit you can become an animator creating your own animations for a zoetrope, thaumatrope, and even shadow puppets.

Below are two templates if you want to make your own thaumatropes before or after HBAAFF.

Interactive Painting Exhibit

(Art & Science Building Courtyard)

Using water to paint on a piece of slate artists will be able to create works of art that are both beautiful (and very temporary).

Interactive Scuplture Exhibit

At this exhibit participants will be able to create their own sculptures using PVC pipe and their imaginations.
